Qualquer jogo lançado e disponibilizado ao público durante o ano de 2023 é elegível para nomeações. A International Choice Awards Network (ICAN), específica do Game Developers Choice Awards, é uma organização somente para convidados composta por criadores de jogos líderes de todas as partes da indústria, e foi quem determinou os indicados.
Os vencedores serão anunciados em 20 de março.
