Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown, lançado para assinantes PS Plus neste mês de junho, é um jogo de luta com bastante foco no online. Porém, além de não ter netcode via rollback, o jogo não possui um sistema de convite para você jogar facilmente com amigos. Atualmente, a única forma de você jogar com um conhecido é criar uma sala e torcer para que ele a encontre na lista de salas públicas (e lidar com aleatórios entrando também).
A SEGA reconheceu o problema no Twitter oficial da série, dizendo que está trabalhando em um sistema de ID da sala (você a deixa com senha e passa o ID dela para os outros jogadores), assim como um sistema de convite.
No entanto, ambas as funcionalidades ainda não possuem uma data. A SEGA apenas diz que será o mais breve possível.
